December Activities

As well as our Christmas activities highlighted in the December Newsletter, all the children will be taking part in seasonal crafts and winter themed activities throughout the whole of December.

Week commencing 30th November:

The Pre-School children will be writing letters to Father Christmas with the role play area becoming our post office to make sure those letters make it to the North Pole! The children will also be creating an advent calendar to support their learning in measuring time in simple ways.

Week Commencing 7th December:

The topic for this week will be The Gingerbread Man and the children will have the opportunity to listen to the story and then bake their own gingerbread boy or girl. Our Toddler children are having a Santa Hat Day on 10th December and they will also be creating artic animals and discussing where they live.

Week Commencing 14th December:

Our Pre-School children will be putting in the final rehearsals for the carol service on 17th December. We will once again be playing to a packed audience of over 100 family and friends to Nursery and we look forward to welcoming our guests. Children and staff will be invited to come into Nursery throughout the week dressed in their Christmas jumper.

Week Commencing 21st December:

Our role play areas will be turned in a Christmas scene to enhance the children's learning through fun.
