All of our activities will be running alongside children's individual interests.
Week Commencing 4th June
This week we will celebrating the Queen’s birthday and Trooping the Colour. Preschool will be looking at parades from the past and together with the Toddlers, will be having their own Trooping the Colour ceremony in the garden on 8th June. All rooms will be making celebration cards for the Queen and will be posting them in our special post box. The Baby Room will be making royal crowns to wear whilst they enjoy watching the Trooping the Colour parade in the garden.
Week Commencing 11th June
Father’s Day preparation will be ongoing throughout the week with all children making a special keep sake for their loved one. We would please ask that all children bring a photo of their daddy’s, granddads and uncles to support activities that will be taking place throughout the week. On 15th June, all rooms will be taking part in an Eid celebration with activities of food tasting, belly dancing and henna pictures taking place to help celebrate the special day.
Week Commencing 18th June
This week we will be celebrating the start of the World Cup. We would like to invite all children to come dressed in football kits or sportswear throughout this week. Children will be celebrating cultural diversity and creating their own flags from around the world to celebrate the big kick off! Toddlers and Pre-School will be getting active and having their own football tournaments throughout the week. Our Babies will be exploring the football within their room whilst having a friendly kick about in the garden.
Week Commencing 25th June
To coincide with the start of summer, Nursery will be having a Summer Safety Week. The Pre-School and Toddler Rooms will be learning about what they need to wear in the sunshine to help keep us safe and the Baby Room will be adding dress up such as summer hats and sun glassed to their home corner for the Baby’s to explore. 27th June is National Sunglasses Day, so we will be teaching the children about protecting their eyes.
Throughout the week the children will also be making artwork to display around the garden as well as planting new flowers to brighten up our outdoor space.
