All of our activities will be running alongside children's individual interests.
June see the start of the final weeks of summer term and plans are well underway for our preschool graduation celebrations to be held at the end of term in July. June's weather needs to buck it's ideas up before the official start of summer on 21st June and we look forward to making the most of the outdoors whatever the weather.
Week Commencing 3rd June
To celebrate Eid on 6th June, the children will have the opportunity to get very creative by doing Mehndi drawings, making Eid cards, dancing to tradition music and tasting cultural food.
Nursery will be having our own Trooping the Colour parade in recognition of Her Magesty's birthday. The Preschool and Toddler children will be marching in the parade supported by the Babies waving their hand made flags. All children are invited to wear red, white and blue on 7th June for the parade itself. Weather permitting, we will be having a high tea snack in the garden with the gazeebo.
Week Commencing 10th June
It's World Art Week and the children will celebrate their art work by taking part in a range of creative activities such as real life art painting and ice painting. As 10th June is World Ocean Day, our art work will reflect this by making various ocean creatures.
Father's Day will be celebrate throughout the week by each room making a surprise for someone special. Dad's, Grandad's or special person will be invited to come into Nursery for a Stay and Play on 14th June from 9.30am-10.45pm. We look forward to see you!
Week Commencing 17th June
Summer is almost here!
The children will be exploring music in range of way by using instruments within Nursery as well as those made by hand to create a myriad of sound. We will also be listening to a variety of music throughout the week to give a broad spectrum of sounds and beats.
Our Preschool and Toddler children are invited to bring in plain white t-shirts to decorate in team colours in readiness for Sport Week commencing on 24th June.
Week Commencing 24th June
Nursery will be promoting outdoor learning for the Babies by exploring our natural world, making binoculars and taking part in mini beast hunts in the garden.
Our Preschool and Toddler children will be getting competitive in a variety of outdoor sports such as egg and spoon races, sack races and target throwing so let the battle commence!
