World Book Day 2017

Do Something Booky - Thursday 2nd March 2017

books

As part of World Book Day, the children will be looking at the book 'There's a Tiger in the Garden' by Lizzy Stewart. We will be making tiger masks, having afternoon tea in the garden (weather permitting) with balloons, bunting, music, dancing and games. To celebrate the event on Thursday 2nd March, we invite the children to come dressed as their favourite storybook character.

Following on from World Book Day and to extend the children's interests in stories, we are also holding a 'Book Swap'. This will be an opportunity for the children to bring a book from home - one which they have enjoyed but perhaps no longer read, in exchange for a new swap. Please bring your swap choices in throughout the week of 27th February, up to a maximum of five books, with the last day to bring books being Friday 3rd March. Thereafter, the children who bring a book in from home will visit the 'Book Swap Stall' during the week of 6th March to choose their new stories to take home and enjoy.
