Saturday 21st July marked the date for this year's graduation celebrations for our pre-schoolers who will be heading off to 'big school' in September.
The day started early for Miss Sue making sure all of the burgundy and gold balloons were ready to decorate nursery in good time for the arrival of our guests. As staff started to arrive, the food preparations were underway as well as final checks of the diplomas, certificates of merit and keepsake gifts for the children and parents to remember us by.
The children had a great time at their special party with games, dancing and prizes to be won and before we knew it, it was time to get the children in their cap and gowns ready to walk up the isle to receive their diploma in front of a packed audience of our lovely families.
Special mention was given to Christine Pilkington and Pauline Pilkington by way of their excellent links in parent partnership and (grand)parent partership and both were awarded their own Certificates of Merit and a bottle of bubbly each to say thank you.
It was another packed house of excited parents and extended families who came to take part in their child's first educational milestone and following the formal graduation proceedings, we continued the tradition of all the children and our invited families gathering together for food and photographs in the garden.
Sincere thanks go to all of the staff who work extremely hard throughout the year and also to those who gave up their valuable free time on the day to share the experience with the children.
